“U2” 在推出了大受歡迎的 “Joshua Tree” 專輯之後, 舉行馬不停蹄的世界巡迴演唱會是自然不過的事, 而在這個舉行了9個月(1987年4月4日至12月20日)的唱出裡, “With Or Without You” 以 “Shine Like Stars” 之名一共唱出了64次之多, 所謂 “Shine Like Stars”, 其實就是 “Bono” 在歌曲尾段額外加插一些歌詞, 歌迷們一般會統稱那段歌詞為 “Shine Like Stars”, 而其一般會是 : m##!sF^k~J

然而最值得提及的, 並不是 “Shine Like Stars” 的歌詞, 而是在這64次的歌唱之中的其中有時 “Bono” 更特別節錄了 “Joy Division” 的名作 “Love Will Tear Us Apart” 中的歌詞在其中唱出, 終於歌迷們才如夢初醒; 明白到原來 “With Or Without You” 這歌的創作內容是向地下音樂經典樂隊 “Joy Division” 的靈魂 “Ian Curties” 與他的太太的一段(悲)情的描寫與致意. 所謂 “I Can’t Live With Or Without You…” 就是說出當時 “Ian Curties” 的 “二人一起繼續生活已不可能, 但分開不一起自己也接受不了, 唯一的出路就是…” 的心情. 最後原來, 兩首愛情哀歌其實是同一個故事. 2&]LZ:(
